Breathwork: alchemy within your own body

What is Breathwork?
The main style of Breathwork Lauren practices is taught by Erin Telford and David Elliott. Breathwork is alchemy within your own body, and has the potential to be transformative and psychedelic.
The breath can be a gateway to an expansive journey within - where you emerge lighter and freer, with a greater sense of mind, body, and spiritual alignment. The “active” part of breathwork is a three part breath, all happening through the mouth. While lying down with your eyes closed, you’ll be guided through the experience with a curated playlist. After actively breathing, you’ll lay in a gorgeous resting state that allows for processing and integration.
What happens during a breathwork session?
All energy medicine sessions with Lauren start out with a grounding chat and intention setting. Clients then lay down, dressed in comfortable clothing; while enjoying a relaxing customized playlist featuring heart opening jams and supportive healing frequencies.
The body can feel tingly during the active breath, and in the integration resting part, you can feel waves of emotional release and clarity.
It is important to remember that no two journeys are the same, and it’s about the power of letting go of the mind, to slip into the body’s wisdom.
who is breathwork for?
Anyone who feels like they would like to be guided through an emotional release, letting go of and processing anger, joy, sadness, love, betrayal, grief, heartbreak, happiness, and many emotions in between.
What should not do breathwork?
Breathwork is safe for most people. Please consult a doctor before a session if you are pregnant, have epilepsy, retinal detachment, glaucoma, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, family history of aneurysm, strokes, and neurological conditions, and severe osteoporosis.
This style of breathwork is also not currently recommended for people who have received a prior diagnosis of bipolar disorder or schizophrenia, or who have been hospitalized or sought out in-patient care for any psychiatric condition or mental health crisis during the past 10 years.
Please note that a breathwork practice may lead to strong physical sensations and/or emotional releases, and that strong emotional releases can cause amnesia.
